Studies have shown that learning retention is vastly improved by active participation. Experiential Learning challenges learners to come up with their own solutions to problems, rather than following the traditional approach of “teacher-as-expert”, which is nothing more than telling the learner what to do.
TRAC Consulting’s experienced teams of workplace facilitators are experts in the delivery and facilitation of activity based learning initiatives and invite participants to create their own solutions to challenging situations. The critical step of Experiential Learning is in applying what is learnt in activities back to the participant’s work environment. This is achieved through a process of reflection on what happened during the challenge activity. Individually and as a group participant’s systematically analyse how they solved the problem and generalise its application back to their personal or work lives.
